The price is certainly right, and even though this book had some flaws (and definitely wasn't for me), I don't feel like I wasted my money.more So-if you like spy fiction with a science fiction twist, you might want to give this a try. I noticed one reviewer on Amazon disliked the ending, but for me it was the best part. I liked how the protagonist's "talent" played out, and once Stone started writing science fiction instead of spy fiction, I got really interested. Characterization and dialogue were superficial and wooden, but once the flashbacks stopped, the plot really picked up. No real reason for him to love her, and no real evidence that she felt much for him beyond a mild level of friendship. I get that propinquity is a big part of romance in suspense novels, but in this case it didn't ring true. I didn't see any reason for them to fall in love. So very, very bad.)
